Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to read, browse, and order from Lumi with ease. Accessibility is something we keep working on, not a box we tick once.
what we aim for
We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our reference standard. In practice, that means we work to keep the site:
- Navigable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator on links, buttons, and form fields.
- Readable, with sufficient colour contrast and text that resizes without breaking the layout.
- Clear to screen readers, with meaningful headings, link text, form labels, and descriptive alt text on product images.
- Calm by default — no autoplaying sound, and motion that respects your device's reduced-motion setting.
where we know we have work to do
We're a small shop, and parts of the site rely on third-party tools we don't fully control. Some areas may not yet meet every guideline. We treat accessibility as ongoing and fix issues as we find them or as you report them.
