FAQ

A few things worth knowing before you order. Still need help? Email hello@lumiskintools.com — a real person reads every message.

shipping & delivery

Where do you ship?

The United States and Canada.

How long will my order take?

Most tools arrive in the US in 8–20 business days, and in Canada in 11–25 business days, after 1–3 business days of processing. Each piece ships direct from our maker, so it travels a little further than a warehouse order. Every order has tracking. See the Shipping page for the full table.

Why isn't it two-day?

We're a small counter, not a warehouse. We'd rather quote real dates than fake-fast ones, so the number you see is the number we mean.

Will I pay customs or duty?

Sometimes. Import duty or tax can apply to orders into both the US and Canada, and is set by your country, not by us. Any duty is the buyer's responsibility and is not included in the order total. We note this so there are no surprises at the door.

How do I track my order?

You'll get a tracking link by email once your order ships. Multi-item orders can ship in more than one parcel and may arrive on different days.

Can I get it faster?

Not yet. We ship one honest way for now. When a tool moves to a closer warehouse, its delivery window shortens and we update the page.

returns & exchanges

What's the return window?

30 days from delivery. Full details are on the Returns page.

What can't be returned?

For hygiene and safety, used or unsealed face-contact tools and opened topicals can't be returned. Unused tools in their original packaging can. Anything defective, wrong, or damaged in transit is always covered.

How do I start a return?

Email hello@lumiskintools.com with your order number and the reason. We'll send return instructions, or for a defect, a photo is enough.

When do I get my refund?

Within 5–10 business days after we receive the returned item, back to your original payment method.

using your tools

How do I use the gua sha, globes, or roller?

Work on clean skin, with a few drops of oil or a thin layer of gel so the steel glides rather than drags. Light, slow passes, a few minutes a side. Each product page has its own short how-to.

How often should I use them?

A few minutes most mornings or evenings is plenty. More isn't better — consistency is.

Do I need an oil or gel?

For the steel tools, yes — a slip layer protects your skin and lets the tool move. The Slip squalane oil pairs with the gua sha and roller; the Morning cooling gel pairs with the globes, mini roller, and brush.

How do I clean and store steel tools?

Rinse with warm water and a little mild soap after use, dry fully, and store somewhere dry. Steel is hand-finished, so small surface variation is normal.

Fridge or freezer?

Fridge, never freezer, for the globes and the mini ice roller. A cold drawer holds the chill long enough; the freezer is too harsh on skin and on the tool.

what these tools do

What does a gua sha actually do?

Used cool, it gives a few hours of temporary de-puffing and a short-lived smoother, brighter look. It's a cosmetic, sensory tool — it won't permanently change the shape of your face.

Will this fix acne, wrinkles, or cellulite?

No. These are cosmetic tools for the feel and look of skin in the moment, not treatments for any skin condition.

Is at-home dermaplaning safe?

Used gently on clean, dry skin, the dermaplaning tool removes fine surface fuzz and dead skin for same-day smoothness. It's a cosmetic exfoliation tool — not a medical or salon procedure.

led face mask

Do you ship the LED mask to Canada?

No — the LED mask is available in the United States only.

How long until I see anything?

Light is a slow habit, not a quick fix. Used a few times a week over several weeks, it's a gentle at-home routine — a lighter dose than an in-clinic session. Results vary from person to person.

Is it safe to use at home?

It's designed for at-home use following the included instructions. If you have a light-sensitive condition or take light-sensitising medication, check with your clinician first.

materials & care

Is the steel real stainless?

Yes — solid, brushed stainless steel. It reads a true cool silver-grey, never gold.

Will it rust or wear?

Not with basic care. Dry it after use and keep it somewhere dry. The satin finish is meant to age quietly.

What's in the oil and gel?

The topicals are fragrance-free and made with simple, recognisable ingredients. A full ingredient list is shown on each product page once those items go on sale.
